Alfa2, the owner of the Peugeot 407, as you can see the picture of his car on the left, is not interested in plain performance figures alone. Of course he wants his car to be quick in a straight line, but he is equally interested in making his 407 look good. From the looks of things, he has succeeded on both counts.

If there was one complain that can be made about the stock 407, it is the unsettled factory dampers – especially at the rear. The ride of the 407 can be unstable during highspeed.

So out went the front and rear absorbers with springs and in came a set of Bilstein B12 which is made in Germany. The car now rides with a great deal more stable, most importantly, it feels more planted while taking highspeed cornering.

With the looks and handling department settled, Alfa2 turned his attention on the potent 2-litre, 4-cylinder engine residing under the bonnet. He wanted to make the engine become more “ummphh”, so he let Dylan "DK Tuning" reflashed the engine control unit. In the process, the factory speed cut was also removed. Besides that, he also installed NX nitrous to boost the engine power.

Next, a K&N cold air intake and a HKS ES Wagon Jasma Muffler were added to improve “breathing” all round.

This 407 has just been dynode and the graph shows maximum power of 252hp and a torque peak of 342Nm when dynode with the aid of the nitro.
